Pre-Order Update: Shipping Timeline

We’re excited to announce that all new pre-orders will begin shipping in early March 2026!

Please note: Due to the upcoming Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) celebrations, our suppliers in China will not be processing or shipping any orders from February 12 to February 24, 2026.

This is a major annual holiday in China, during which many factories and logistics operations pause for family reunions and festivities similar to an extended holiday shutdown. Production and shipping will resume promptly afterward, allowing us to fulfill and ship your pre orders as planned in early March.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this traditional break. If you have any questions about your order or timeline, feel free to reach out our team is here to help!

Thank you for your continued support!

The WisMesh 1W Booster Starter Kit brings more TX power and better reception to Meshtastic networks. Powered by the RAK3401 WisBlock Core module with the Nordic nRF52840 MCU and a RAK13302 1W LoRa transceiver module, mounted on a Rak19007 Base board.

Unlike common solutions, the RAK13302 integrates a dedicated RF filter stage, which not only enables 1W high-power transmission but also significantly enhances receiver sensitivity. This means longer range, more stable links, and stronger mesh reliability. This is ideal for outdoor adventures, emergency communications, or wide-area IoT coverage, positioning it as some of the best hardware for long-range Meshtastic networks.

Notes: Transmit power limits and allowable frequency plans differ by country and region. This product supports high power operation, but users must configure transmit power, antenna gain, and frequency settings to comply with local regulations.

Due to the high power consumption of the 1W transceiver, the RAK13302 cannot work from the 3.3V supply voltage. It requires:

  • Using a battery with the WisBlock Base Board
  • External 5V supply for the RAK13302 module through its own power supply connector
  • Always powering from USB

Why choose the WisMesh RAK3401 Booster Starter Kit for your Meshtastic network?

Whether upgrading a Meshtastic 1W node or building a fresh deployment, this kit is engineered specifically for users who need reliable, long-range mesh communication in off-grid, outdoor, or emergency setups. With a full 1 W LoRa transmitter (30 dBm) and an integrated RF front-end including the SKY66122 amplifier + filter, you gain up to several times the coverage of standard Meshtastic nodes.

The use of the nRF52840 MCU ensures modern BLE and firmware compatibility, while the WisBlock modular ecosystem allows you to expand with sensors, displays, trackers, or repeater nodes with ease.

Compared to typical Meshtastic kits (100-160 mW output) or DIY 1W builds (which may lack RF filtering or stability), this kit delivers a proven, stable high-power solution—all while managing power, heat and regulatory concerns in a single product.

Range & RF Performance: SX1262 + SKY66122 Amplified Path

The WisMesh 1W Booster Starter Kit delivers exceptional performance for users needing a long-range Meshtastic solution. This is done by combining the Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver with the Skyworks SKY66122 high-power amplifier and a dedicated SAW filter. Unlike typical high-power boards that boost TX but degrade RX, this filtered RF chain, including an RF filter and PA for improved receiver sensitivity, preserves receiver performance while increasing output power up to 1 watt. The result is a cleaner signal, reduced self-interference, and significantly stronger SNR across real-world deployments. Users can expect more reliable two-way links, improved packet retention at long distances, and stable mesh coverage even in semi-obstructed environments.

Power Requirements & Thermal Notes

The 1W RF stage in the RAK13302 demands a stable 5V supply, as 3.3V sources cannot deliver the surge current required for high-power LoRa transmission. For reliable operation, users should power the module through USB, a regulated 5V adapter, or the WisBlock Base Board’s battery system—especially when using an SX1262 1W LoRa module in continuous or high-duty-cycle deployments.

How the 1W RF Chain Works (nRF52840 → SX1262 → PA/Filter)

The WisMesh 1W Booster Starter Kit uses a staged RF architecture to deliver clean, long-range LoRa performance. The nRF52840 MCU manages firmware and communicates with the SX1262 transceiver, which generates the sub-GHz LoRa signal, making the architecture suitable for a nRF52840 Meshtastic deployment. That signal is then boosted by the SKY66122 power amplifier, a 1W SKY66122 LoRa amplifier module, and passed through an integrated SAW filter to remove noise and harmonics. This ensures both high transmit power and excellent receiver sensitivity, enabling stable two-way communication even at long distances, as shown in the diagram below.

Use Case Examples for WisMesh 1W Booster Starter Kit

Enables reliable mesh communication in diverse scenarios where signal reach and network resilience are critical, supporting long-range low-power mesh communication for field deployments.

Use Case #1: Remote Sensor Link Verification

A field technician evaluated environmental sensor communication across a 4km site using the WisMesh 1W Booster Starter Kit’s SX1262 + SKY66122 radio path. Tests showed 35% stronger signal retention, 98% packet delivery, and repeatable performance during five field trials, confirming reliable long-range operation.

Use Case #2: Community Emergency Relay Setup

During a local preparedness drill, engineers assembled a temporary Meshtastic network using several WisMesh 1W Booster Starter Kits. The result: stable 1W links, verified through 24 hours of uptime logs and user testimonials citing clear, uninterrupted message relays over forested terrain. This makes the setup highly suitable for deployments that require a LoRa mesh repeater to maintain reliable communication paths. It also serves effectively as a Meshtastic repeater node for emergency communications, ensuring message delivery even when infrastructure is unavailable.
