OP-1 OUTPOST NODE
A rugged, field deployable Meshtastic/Meshcore communication unit built for real world use. This device mounts instantly to any metal surface using four industrial grade rubber coated magnets. No tools, no drilling just drop, stick, and activate.
Power:
Runs over 3 weeks on a single charge. No solar required. Includes internal dual-18650 power system with PCM protection.
Mounting:
Attaches securely to cars, trucks, guard rails, bridges, equipment, gates, containers, and more.

Version 1 – Original Concept
Standard USB-C waterproof passthrough with PCM (Battery Protection Modules) and breather. Compatible with both RAK12500 and RAK12501 GNSS GPS modules.
Version 2 – Atlavox Upgrade
Lowered the WisBlock board and added a USB-C passthrough power switch and breather from Atlavox. Freed up internal space and made the layout cleaner.
This Variant does not include PCM
Version 3 – Mounting and GPS Redesign
Redesigned the mounting plate for more clearance and moved the GNSS GPS slot to the top for a skyward direction.
This version is built for vertical mounting on metal surfaces and includes an internal Bluetooth antenna.
Version 4 – Vertical Variant
Vertical-mounted version using the GNSS GPS bracket originally made for the horizontal layout.
Features a 90° left-angled USB-C waterproof passthrough for a clean cable route in tight installations.
Use Case:
Emergency comms, temporary deployments, field testing, off-grid messaging, and portable mesh expansion.
